Very good condition!  Some minor scratches due to regular wear.

Extremely stable and efficient boat with rudder, bulkheads, lots of packing space for touring, and generous leg and foot room. We toured the coast with our kids using thiskayak from the time the youngest turned 3 years old – never felt unsafe and it handled very well even with just one person paddling.  Kids are now grown, so switching to singles.

Blue deck, light grey hull, 22.5 feet long, 27 inches wide.  Includes fiberglass and neoprene hatch covers.   $3200

The weather looks great for tonight’s club picnic at Locarno.  Bring what you’d like — an item to share, something for the BBQ, or your own picnic snacks and drinks.

Park at Trimble Street and look for the SKABC banner — anytime after 5pm.  Guests welcome!

    Hi All,

I’ll be paddling w/ Megan and Jody this Saturday July 30th, launching ~7:15 pm at Point Grey Beach, heading towards Wreck Beach. Return by ~9:30pm. Everyone is welcome to join us.

We’ll be test paddling a few boats so there may be more stop-and-go compared to the typical paddle. It should be an easy paddle.

I have an Epic GPX and a 16X, and am open to anyone wanting to try them out. If you have an interesting boat bring it out for us to try.

Let me know before noon Saturday if you’re interested in joining us.

    Hi, this is Rick Davies.

We took several videos over the 20 years at the Thetis Island Sea Kayak Symposium which ran from 1985 to 2005.

They are in VHS format, and likely are either in the library or in possession of past presidents. (Harald Riffel? Graeme O’Neill?)

These videos show a wealth of faces and places of SKABC members who attended those events. Does anyone know where they are.

Please help! February 23, 2023 is 7 months from today. Current and former members – get involved and help us capture the spirit of our celebration –– we can’t do this without your contributions!!!

FIRST – set the mood for others and publish your own STORIES on the forum.

SECOND – we need your films and soft copies of photos to create A FILM PRESENTATION! Contact webmanager2@skabc.org, who will tell you how to get your digital pieces into our google folder. It would be helpful if you include the year, location, and brief description of each.

THIRD – Contact social2@skabc.org and arrange to deliver HARD COPIES OF PHOTOS – these will be assembled and displayed on memory boards at our 2023 in-person celebration.

Thank you to those who have contributed. Our team has some items, but we need (far) more!

Oh that’s good Gunilla and Ian! I was thinking around 8pm but may be there a little earlier. I am meeting a friend who will be on a paddle board at Kits or Sunset Beach and will finalize plans with her.
I will try to find your number and/or email you personally.

    Hi Quirine,

We’re in! Are you leaving from Jericho Sailing Center? If so, what time?

Ah sorry! I am talking about this Saturday for now. I’m not sure I will do the other days by kayak.
