    POSTING FOR A FRIEND:

$1100 – Huge price drop as she needs to sell quickly.

Ideal for condo dwellers and those who struggle to load a boat solo on a vehicle. Kevlar and fiberglass Nimbus Solander was designed to separate into three pieces to allow for easy storage and transportation. It has a new seat, deck lines, spray skirt, and newer hatch covers. No issues: pedals, rudder, and mechanism to separate into pieces are in good condition.

Hi Phyllis – As luck would have it, I have an older Hullavator 898 that I just adapted to aeroblades and I no longer need the square bar adapters.  I’m more than happy to give these to you.

The Hullavator 898 comes with 2 sets of under brackets for installation – one set for square bars and the other for aeroblade bars.  If anyone has the square set they are not needing, I would like to buy.

    Tks,  Phyllis.

A kind members has offered to accompany me and we made our arrangements for a visit by kayak 20 – 22 June, but if additional members wish to come, that would be good, except that the ferry is already full for overheight vehicles on the early Sat sailing.

I am planning to do rolling practice at Sasamat Lake this Thursday afternoon.

I will be at the White Pine beach parking lot F around 3pm, then use kayak cart to carry my boat to the beach.

Practice time is about two hours with breaks. It is also depending on my energy level of the day.

    Exact location:-

    https://maps.app.goo.gl/cBUKYv7TwRhaUgzK9

Bring Kayak cart, wet or dry suit, spray skirts etc.

Having goggles, nose plugs and earplugs would be helpful when learn to role.

This is more about rolling though If anyone wanted to come and do their self/assisted rescue practice are welcome to join.

Please not that I am not a qualified instructor when it comes to rolling or rescue but I could help for those who have done some rolling lessons and wanted to improve their skills.

Please posted on this forum or email me if you are planning to attend. My contact information can be found on the member list page.

    Thank you.

Hi Daisie – I also just learned about Lam Marine, which does the same but closer – on E Cordova towards Clark Dr. They usually offer 3-day turn around, but they were able to print one same-day for me for the same price, $30.

To finish posting trail signs at Simson (Cynthia K and I started this past weekend and we did about half of them) I’m seeking a buddy or buddies who will either carry the light short ladder or a 10 kg pack and be prepared to walk about 8 km each day. It is easy work along quiet forest trails. Travel options are to kayak to S Thormanby I from Brooks Cv or to take my small power boat over from Coopers Green. Both routes are short. Camp 1 or 2 nights – more likely 2 nights if kayak transport is used. Camp at one or two of the main sites – Farm Bay, Pebbly Bch and Drift Bay. The ladder and signs are already on the island and can be left behind for later pickup when finished. My preferred timing/dates are within next 2 weeks and in decent weather – no high SE winds. Earliest for me would be this coming Thu.

I could do this alone, but there are valid safety reasons for a 2 (+) person crew and I’d prefer company, too!

Thanks for these! I missed the meeting (because I was coming back from a trip!) but these are a great idea, thanks to all who prepared them.

Jericho Sailing Center is great.   You can store your boat, get a locker for your gear, launch off the beach, and eat and drink at the Galley.   You have to love a place with an oceanside community centre.

And about $350 for a full year of membership and kayak storage.  I think it is a deal.

I am new to this area and need to store sea kayaks. Does anyone have  suggestions of storage facilities that are reasonably priced in Richmond or Vancouver?  Thanks.
