Quirine SchuyffI wonder if anyone has heard if they are still in operation? I tried emailing as reply to Josh who I had been in contact with, and also through the info@ email address and both were returned.
I was due to take a rolling clinic through them, that I had bid on for the Paddling Film Fest, and still had to pick a date. We emailed before the summer and both had forgotten I guess so I just tried this morning. No success.
Perhaps someone here has heard something?

IS this boat still on sale?

I am planning to paddle to the fireworks this eve. Meeting at 6:30pm and leaving from Jericho Sailing Center at 7pm SHARP. (On the beach, In front of Ecomarine) Expected return 11:30 -midnight?
THIS IS NOT FOR BEGINNERS: This can be a bit daunting as there are MANY boats everywhere, big and small, and they all leave at the same time. In the case we are separated you MUST be confident making your way back on your own. I plan to be at the perimeter, right in the thick of things!
I am NOT A GUIDE OR LEADER, but simply opening up to the possibility of others who wish to do this also. I have one other joining, and possibly more. I won’t be compiling information as I will be away from home all day. Please let someone you trust know where you are going and when you expect to return. I will however keep informed about who will come via my cell:

YOU MUST:
-be a confident, experienced paddler and able to maneuver your boat as such
-have ALL required safety gear; the police will be checking.
-be able to wet exit and self rescue
– have GOOD water proof lighting for your boat, front and back, visible from all sides, which you can access from your cockpit, and I highly recommend a headlamp also. This helps to look at boats, and keep you visible, that may not see you otherwise.
-have water and a snack
-dress appropriately as it will cool down a bit in the eve
-be prepared to paddle in the dark, among much boat traffic, come back late and come off water in the dark
Yekaterina YushmanovaHi Stan, we were there July long weekend. The west beach where we planned to stop was a party town and we had to skip that altogether. East campsite is nice has a picnic table and an outhouse but has a large No Trespassing sign posted by Penelakut band also. I am embarrassed to admit but we ended up sleeping there one night as our 4 yo was done with his kayaking for the day. Nobody came by to kick us out or to collect a fee. It wasn’t very relaxing though as we were basically camping under the sign. If you manage to get a hold of the band you can check on what the rules are, I was not able to locate a number for the band office. I would also not recommend collecting oysters without the permission from the band. We moved to Chivers Point on Wallace island the next day and it was beautiful and not crowded even on the long weekend. We hiked to Cabin Bay and it looked like an amazing spot and was empty. Outhouse and tent pads at Chivers and just two tend pads and solitude at Cabin bay. Hope this helps!
Chris DennisStan,
Try this link to BC Marine Trails. Camp set out, fees and conditions are clear.

I might have mentioned to you at the Club Locarno BBQ a group of us where planning to go in September. Here is the route we planned. It was based on a group who went in 2017. Instead of paddling from Telegraph Cove we were going to take a water taxi from Port McNeil.

Henry GraymanYes, there are very nice campsites on the west side of Tent Island. There are 2 outhouses available as well. If you eat oysters, the east side of the island has lots at low tide.

Stan MatierHi Everyone
Was thinking of camping for a couple of nights on Tent Island. Has anyone been there recently. Was wondering about the campsites/facilities etc. Does anyone have any photos or info
Thanks
Stan
George PrevostHi Emily. I’ve been to the Johnstone Strait/Broughton Archipelago area at least a dozen times and would be happy to share some of my thoughts with you if you’d like to get together and go over some charts, etc. You can contact me at georgepr@telus.net.
