We cover basic paddle skills as well as wet exits and how to re-enter your boat in the event of a capsize. This course is broken into two parts - in class and on water. The in class portion is on the evening of the first day (6:30 pm - 9:30 pm) and the on water portion takes place at a local beach access area. Paddling Desolation Sound Without Crowds?
By Bob Salo There are many good reasons to paddle in Desolation Sound – warm water, close to Vancouver, sunny weather, spectacular scenery……… However, for all those reasons the area can be very busy with kayakers and boaters.
