On one of SISKA’s YouTube videos they talked about having someone at home text the weather to there Spot Sat Communicator. Not sure if that is possible with the Zoleo.

I brought free crab floats to the Spring Fling but no-one took any, so I brought them all home again. If you want any pl. call me and arrange to pick them up. They are beach salvage but in ok condition.

You must use a specified type of float – bleach bottles etc are no longer permitted.

If no-one wants them they will be disposed of to others/garbage.

    Hi,

I’m planning a 3 week kayak trip near Sitka, Alaska for this August. I carry a VHF  marine radio with me, a Zoleo satellite communicator and use Navionics for electronic charts/forecasting/etc.. It appears as though some of the weather stations in the Sitka area are not operating or are degraded. So…I am wondering is there a way to get good marine weather forecasting remotely/offline? Zoleo weather does not include marine weather and the weather information on Navionics seems limited when off the grid. My understanding is that if you monitor Ch 16 then weather alerts are broadcast and you can switch to 22A for further information. Any thoughts about other options?

    Thanks,

Kayak roller loader for sale. $40 or OBO. also doubles as a small kayak cart.

    Brand is ROLLERLOADER.

No longer needed as I have a hullavator.

Worked great to assist solo loading and unloading of a heavy kayak.  Can go on hood or trunk.  Worked best when suction cups cleaned with a cloth prior to use.

See YouTube video to see how it worked or I can send photos of item.

    I’m located in North Vancouver

We just got back from Baja on Sunday from a kayak tour or I would have replied sooner to your enquiry. Myself, wife and adult daughter went on a 6 day trip with seakayakadventures.com out of Loreto. We toured the Islands in Loreto Bay National Park. The company we chose was excellent, the best organized I have experienced in our various sea kayak trips. Because it was the last trip of the season there were just the 3 of us and 2 guides! But if full I understand their guide ratio is still 3:1 or 4:1. The guides were local, very experienced and great cooks. The best food we have experienced on a sea kayak guided tour. Because we were less than 4 guests, we weren’t supported by a panga and carried the gear but that was no problem for us. They still got resupplied halfway through the trip. I was a bit concerned going in that the company seemed like a bit corporate and tourist slick but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Very local in their outlook, seems like they have great quality control in terms of the guides, equipment, communication ion, etc. We are looking at a future trip with the company in the future. Oh yea, the area was an absolute knock out, quality and diversity of the snorkeling alone was worth the trip.
