    Necky Eliza (with Rudder)

The Eliza series is designed to fit and perform for smaller paddlers (up to 150 lbs), these boats are ergonomically designed around a woman’s hip and leg physiology, and overall body proportion. The low aft deck offers optimum room for sculling, rolling, surf ability, and bracing. These are not just low volume versions of a popular hull! They are designed from the start with an exceptional balance of glide, maneuverability and reduced drag from frictional resistance and wind.

Conservation at Fraser River 1A to remove Scotch Broom
    When: July 16, 2024 from 12:30 PM – 5:30 PM

    Why join us?

Scotch broom is a serious bully. It spreads like wildfire and burns like wildfire. Wildlife can’t eat it, and it smothers our more delicate native plants.

Metro Vancouver Parks want to control the spread of Scotch Broom on Don & Lion islands in the Fraser off Richmond. These islands are seldom visited. We would launch near Shelter I Marina, Graybar Rd/Dyke Road, Richmond, where there is a paved boat ramp.  The paddle across to the islands is very short (maybe 200 m) and looks hazard-free, but expect some current and muddy banks on arrival.

If interested please sign up on the  trip list

Hate to give up this spacious tent with 2 vestibules, a “front door awning” and more.  It has a fitted tarp for under the footprint, no “see-um” mesh on each door, and tent fly to cover vestibules on 2 sides and a “canopy” to create a small “veranda” at the larger vestibule.   It has been on many kayak trips over the years and protected gear stored outside the tent. Still in good condition and I  have the instructions. Tent fly may need water proofing/seam seals.   Pickup required in Lower Lonsdale, N Vancouver. Asking $75.  If interested e-mail me at kcunningham.unsw@gmail.com for more photos and information.

Hi Nick!  I could come along for this.  I have a 14′ solo canoe that I could bring along too (or I could go in a 2-person one if Metro Van Parks has ’em, provided the seats are comfy :).  Would waders be useful for hopping in and out of boats?

Not at this time.  Thank you.  I just broke down and bought a TideRace Xcite (that in addition to my trusty old NDK Explorer).  Then found a great deal on a Hatteras.  I really can’t afford yet another boat right now, but this Hatteras had me wondering if it might be worth going without eating for a few weeks 😁.

Hi Richard.  I haven’t paddled a Hatteras but I have a friend who has an Impex Outer Island that she might be willing to sell for a very reasonable price.  (She’s no longer paddling and doesn’t have space to store it.)  Would you be interested?

Just Curious… Has anyone paddled an Impex Hatteras?  Interested in its paddling characteristics and personal opinions

Free kayak wheel frame. Note one of the tires is flat and will need replacing.
