Hi.
Short version is I have a kayak that
I seldom use and have been paying storage on for an embracing long time.
I would like to sell the craft. What can I do to make it move.
AdminHi Members, would you or a business you’re affiliated with like to donate a prize that would end up in the hands of a SKABC volunteer?
Our Volunteer Appreciation Dinner will be held November 23 — indoors for the first time since 2019. We’re looking for ways to make it extra special.
Calvin S has kindly agreed to coordinate some prizes for this dinner (and the January 11 Fiesta). We will be happy to recognize donors/their businesses at the dinner, in the newsletter, and on the website with a logo and link if desired. The prizes needn’t be paddling-related.
To donate, reply on the forum or contact Calvin directly (you’ll find him on the Member List on SKABC.org ).

What about the maintenance bay at the west end of the Jericho Sailing Center building?
Mike GilbertHi everyone. I would appreciate any help or direction for finding a small indoor space in / around Vancouver that could be used for putting on kayak building workshops next summer.
It should be an indoor space with power (for powering tools).
large enough to build 4 – 6 kayaks. Low rent if any.
Available for the summer for multiple workshops and storage.
This is not for me as I am not that carpentry clever but for a good friend.
if you know of any possibilities or ideas or actual venues please let me know so I might pass them on.
Thanks so much.
Mike GilbertOlga RivkinSelling P&H Aries 150 (Kevlar/Diolen). Purchased at Coast Outdoors about 3-4 years ago. No damage (very minor surface scratches). Skeg, hatches, seat, footpegs, all in good condition. It is a lovely kayak – I have really enjoyed it, but thinking of moving. Stored at Jericho Sailing, but always covered. Price: $3500 if on its own; $4000 if with neoprene skirt, basic paddles (2 sets), throw rope and pump (i.e., the whole kit). I can also include wheels and cover. For comparison, new Aries 150 is approximately $6000. Please email me if interested: olgadoriantheo@gmail.com or text at 604-970-6616. Olga

November 10, 2024 at 10:29 am in reply to: WCK Demo Day — attend tomorrow and receive coupons, discounts #24533Theresa DaviesThank you for organizing this event- enjoyed trying out some very spiffy new kayaks in the Norse collection. As well, learned about the diverse use pneumatic lift car rack.
Kapila JayaweeraMy bad, I didn’t realize we are doing party January this time. That’s OK, we could still do a fun entertaining play sessions.
Please post, contact me for volunteers that can play, sing or whatever they can do to get it going. Nothing serious, just wanted to see whether we can do something different this year.
Quirine SchuyffI love this idea. I don’t think I trust my own guitar playing or singing to do so as entertainment, but fully support anyone that wants to do this!
I love the idea of Christmas carols myself but it won’t be that theme this year!
AdminHi, interesting idea and generous of you to offer. I guess the Social Committee will consider how it would fit in with the party plans. Also to clarify, it will be a “Fiesta” them held January 11 so not very Christmasy this time.
Kapila JayaweeraHi Kelly,
I could help DJ work. Let me dig into some of my music.
