    Hi.

Short version is I have a kayak that

I seldom use and have been paying storage on for an embracing long time.

I would like to sell the craft.  What can I do to make it move.

Yes the contract is transferable. It’s something that want to highlight.

Boat storage is a hot commodity in this town.  If the contract is transferable, it could be a selling feature.

Edit – Sorry, just realized you mentioned that already.

Maybe do the math on how much the storage would cost you through to the spring and how much cheaper you would need to price the boat to avoid having to pay that?

Also, I would reword the title on your posting.   “Please buy” makes you sound desperate and people might come in with a much lower price assuming that you were desperate to sell.

Nancy the correct names for the hatches is helpful.  Ya the model has changed materials over the years. It’s quite an old boat. I picked it up in 2008.  I have to admit that I really don’t want to pay storage and

An wish I could speed up the process.

I agree with the things already mentioned.   I suspect that the time of year is the biggest challenge.

In addition, when I look at your posting, you mention it is a fibreglass boat, but all the current models of that boat that I see advertised say it is high density polyethylene.   People might be confused when they check the manufacturer’s website and wonder which is correct.

Most of us would call the “three compartments sealed compartments”  hatches, front, rear, and a day hatch behind the cockpit.  Just the terms that are most common and comfortable for people.

    Good luck.

    A couple of suggestions.

    Price is always a factor.

Time of year. Spring maybe a better time when people are thinking of paddling.

Update your post to keep it fresh.

Offer people to try before they buy.

Look at our buy & sell forum to see what sold and maybe learn from that.

Do you have a description of the kayak and a couple of photos?
