I just went and bought a full wetsuit from this place. It looks brand new, fit nicely. They have various sizes 3mm to 5mm. Also have some latex as well. I’ve got their permission to post few pictures.

Hi all, sorry for the late posting – didn’t post this correctly, but ‘yes’ the Thurs night paddle is on for this week Aug 9th.

the plan is meet by the pier at Jericho beach at 5:30 for a launch time of 6:00pm.

to join us, you must have done a wet exit and self rescue within the past year.  I am also not a trip leader and this is not a Skabc trip.

Please let let me know if you plan to attend with 1. Paddling experience, 2. Wet exit yes, 3.  Your kayak make and model so we can look for you.

I’ll be returning from the LM to Courtenay in about 10 days with a couple of my kayaks, and I will have room for the double.  I am likely to be making the trip on Monday August 13 or Tuesday, August 14.  I live in Courtney, so a drop off anywhere up to there is no trouble.

I am passing on my double kayak currently residing in North Vancouver.  The new home is on Vancouver Island.  Anybody taking the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo with drop off either in Nanoose or Courtenay in the near future (early August)?  I would of course reimburse for the additional charge for overlength (the boat is 22.5ft) and add $30 for your troubles.
