Double fiberglass sea kayak in great condition!  Has been stored in garage.

This is an extremely stable and efficient kayak with rudder, sealed bulkheads, lots of packing space for touring and very generous leg room. Kayak handles very well even with just one person paddling.  We used this boat to paddle much of the coast with our kids.  Very similar to Seaward Passat.

Length – 22 feet.   Width – 27 inches.   Blue deck with very light grey hull.

Hi Katya – sorry for the slow response – We unfortunately wont arrive back to Vancouver until late the 30th (Limited ferries times) so will likely not work to borrow your boat – I think I have another secured and VERY much appreciate you being willing to lend it – if you ever are in need of the Passat for a longer trip please get in touch. Thanks again for your extremely kind generosity!!

    hi Tracey,

For some reason my email won’t send to you today. I have been thinking about the skeg and have decided to keep looking for a Kayak with a rudder.

Would you be interested in selling the Greenland paddle separately?

    Thanks,

    Lindi

Long narrow kayak, great for going fast and for rolling (I guess, I do not roll). I have gone touring for up to 8 days in it but that requires minimalism in your packing and willingness to pack your gear one by one into the very long narrow front hatch… (or if you’re smart you can get one of those dry bags in the cone shape, but I wasn’t).

It’s not a great boat for surfing since it’s straight and long. It has a skeg but I have not used it in a very long time, so if you rely a lot of a rudder for steering it might not be the boat for you. Also it has an ocean cockpit. Decent conditions, but the seat has some wear and tear. Comes with a greenland paddle and sprayskirt.

Priced to sell since I rarely paddle anymore, $500 OBO. Contact Tracey 604-399-9356/ traceypham88@gmail.com.

    Hi

Earlier last month, I did the above trip , in addition to a smaller river paddle on the island.

The Na Pali coast one was exhilarating, generally described as the “Everest of Kayaking”.

Big swells and waves , wind too, but a lee wind practically all the way except when we had to head into the wind to negotiate some reefs.

The sun was intense and just sun screen :not enough, must be covered up well too.

We were warned, if after the first hour , any signs of seasickness.. to drop off ( the guides take you to a beach to be shuttled back}. There after, no road access for next 20 kms… only a rescue boat . Also warned , capsize likely, must be able to self rescue with guides aid.

The surf landing at the end was exciting, but fortunately no big rollers.

    Some images here.

    Cheers

I made an error stating I would return Sunday. I’d prefer to return on Monday.

    Thanks Kevin!
I didn’t want to put an exact time as it will depend on who I might take with me.

I have put a float plan here. The ferry tab is used to help with organizing carpooling. I will share this out to the registered participates.

That is a bit out of the way for me Cynthia, especially since I need to pick up my boat from Jericho. I hope you can find someone but let’s keep in touch. Do you have any timeline restrictions?
I’d probably go Friday morn and come back Sunday afternoon.

    Hi Everyone,

I am just seeing if there is interest from members of SKABC to join a group doing a guided tour in Baja, Mexico this November.  There are three of us already.  Actual dates are not yet defined.  Looking at a 7 – 10 day trip.

The actual guide(s) will not include me (I am simply going as a paying guest).  Arrangements are being made with Sea Kayak Baja Mexico whose owner is a good friend, Ginni Callahan.  The company is based in Loreto, Baja, Mexico.

If you are interested in doing a winter kayak trip in Mexico with me and a few others please let me know as soon as possible.  Please contact me via: mgilbert1600@gmail.com.

Thanks all and have a super summer paddling.

    Mike

Yes.  I need a ride from Barnett Marine Park. Would anyone be willing to give my kayak and me a ride.
