    Did you make this yourself?

I would be interested. Can you send me an email at pg.wv@telus.net

Oarboard SUP / paddleboard rowing rig.

Rig only, does not include paddleboard.

Can be used with any existing hard or inflatable paddleboard (rig straps to top of the paddleboard).

Asking $2200, new would cost $2700+

James Manke will be conducting a rolling clinic at Deep Cove on June 26. See:

He is both a fantastic roller (able to roll with a rock instead of a paddle) and an excellent instructor.

    First reasonable offer takes it.

FYI I found a diagram online that shows that a back eddy does exist during a flood tide.

So glad you put this out there. If I was still in the Lower Mainland I’d go. Have fun tomorrow!

Anyone welcome to join me for casual 4 – 5 hours out in Indian  Arm tomorrow from Barnet Marine Park let me know by 9:00am at 778 870 6043. This Friday is another option for a similar paddle.
I’m ready to go at short notice if a trip spot comes available- Desolation Sound in June. Or if there’s interest, I’d plan a trip with up to 3 others. Lots of options.

    Nick,

Bob Putman at Coast Outdoor paddles there a lot. He should give you some information.

I was wondering if anyone has any knowledge about or information about how the tides work West of Lions Gate Bridge?   I was paddling last night as the tide was coming (from West to East) but as I paddled back East along the West Vancouver shore the water was flowing West (against the direction of the flood tide).   Is there a back eddy that happens along this shore for both Flood and Ebb tides?

Yes. Dunham Road is the launch. It’s a regional park. Note that the beach is a low gradient slope, so it’s a bit of a walk at low tide. I don’t remember if it is mostly muddy, gravel, or cobble. I think it was a mix of all three.
