Start at 2-4pm ish and park at Porteau, West Van, or Squamish and check out a skabc rec site! Then return later Sunday evening.

June 5, 2018 at 12:02 pm in reply to: Consultation opportunity for Vancouver's non-motorized watercraft strategy #15277Susan JensenNice to see that the Parks Board includes our input about improved club facilities and watercraft storage in the choices!
Amanda MitchellVancouver Parks Board is creating a non-motorized watercraft strategy, dubbed the On Water Strategy. This strategy will guide Parks Board activities over the next 10 years.
They are in the third phase of the strategy development and are currently getting feedback on the draft strategies. They are looking at strategies to improve access, safety, create greater opportunity, protect the environment, and encourage the development of community. During the first round of consultation, 60% of participants were kayakers. It would be great to continue that trend.
Provide your comments on their draft strategy through their online survey or in-person at their open houses.
Upcoming on-water open houses:
- Jericho Sailing Centre, Saturday, June 9th from 11am – 2pm
- False Creek Community Centre, Thursday, June 21 from 5 – 8pm
The online survey can be found at this link. It is open until July 2.

Happy paddling!

Chantal EthierHi Antonia and Henry,
The timing is interesting, I was trying to get my hands on some for our Training program. Perhaps you would consider sharing one with the Training program if you don’t need them all.
Cheers,
Chantal
