I don’t know of anyone in specific but you clearly want a “sports physio”.  If you are on the west side of Vancouver you might try the Allan McGavin Sports Medicine Clinic at UBC – but whoops I see that the physio clinic seems to be located in Yaletown (which is perhaps good and bad).

They specialize in sports injuries and there is lots of rowing/canoeing/kayaking at UBC so there is a good chance they have experience I would think.

I have had this kayak for approximately 25 years and, still to this day, use it for short day trips around the North Shore and within Howe Sound. However, I have (finally) purchased a new kayak and would like to find a home for this one. It was a one-off constructed kayak prior to my purchasing it. It has a hard-chine, no skeg or rudder and storage hatches on the smaller side. The cockpit is also quite small and, therefore, would only be suitable for someone of small-medium build. (I am 5′ 9″ and 155 lb.).

SKABC Conservation Volunteers are needed Wednesday June 3, 2026
9 am until 2 pm at Widgeon Creek, to be accessed from Coquitlam BC side.

Help SKABC in partnership with Metro Vancouver Natural Resource Management cut
and bag the invasive Yellow Flag Iris flowers and seed pods.
Bathrooms are on site.
As a kayaker and outdoor enthusiast why would we want to do that? Per the Invasive
Species Council of BC, Yellow flag iris (Iris pseudacorus), an invasive aquatic plant. It
disrupts water flow and can reduce a marsh’s ability to purify water. This plant alters the
ecosystem along the shoreline and can reduce the concentration of macroinvertebrates
(insects) from 600 per m2 to 6 per m2. This has a rippling effect on the entire food chain
that depends on these insects for survival.

Trip is rated 1A. Meaning Minimal paddling skills, protected inland waters, Moderate
wind effects, Weak to moderate currents, and easy to moderate landings. Participants
must be capable of getting in and out of kayaks or canoes comfortably and confident in
leaning out of boat.
To join the event a Metro Vancouver waiver must also be completed before starting .
