Paddling Desolation Sound Without Crowds?

By Bob Salo There are many good reasons to paddle in Desolation Sound – warm water, close to Vancouver, sunny weather, spectacular scenery……… However, for all those reasons the area can be very busy with kayakers and boaters.

Thanks to Majbritt and Mike Schmidt for this report. It was a dark and stormy morning when all 19 intrepid paddlers left Vancouver for Harrison.
