SKABC's Volunteer Appreciation Dinner at Trout Lake Community Centre featured the award presentation for George P, as winner of the Orca Award for his volunteer contributions as club President and Instructor. Kevin A was the winner of the Silver Paddle Award for his time as Membership Chair on the Trips Committee. Congratulations to them both.
We had a lovely lasagna and salmon dinner at the hall. Thanks to all who made the evening happen: Chair Andrea K organized the evening down to every last detail including a Serve-it Right Professional. Other organizers and helpers were Kathy R, Maureen B, Kelly R, Vincent L, Susan J, Iveta J, Kapila J, Colleen C, Simone A, Nancy M, and Quirine S, and Calvin S.
Special thanks to Deep Cove Kayak/Coast Outdoors, DB Schenker, and Roy Jantzen for donating excellent door prizes. Volunteers also took home SKABC ball caps and of course memories of a fun evening with friends.
