I recently visited Pedals & Paddles near Tuwanek and spoke with Kyle Reid. I’m sure many SKABC members have patronized this fine business. I judge that they offer the best launch option for paddlers arranging overnight trips in Sechelt Inlet. With ample selection of rental kayaks and a responsible attitude to safety, they are very well set up for any beginner-level or higher overnight club trip. The user fee with one’s own boat is $20 per weekend i.e. $10 for first day and $5 for each subsequent day. For convenience, I added this location to the BCMT map.
Note that overnight parking is prohibited at Lambs Brook, anywhere in Tuwanek and at several other local launch sites. Locals are quick to call the By-law Enforcement Officer!
I hoped SKABC would offer some trips this year in Sechelt inlet, but those listed earlier seem to have disappeared from our trips schedule.
