Sadly selling my much loved Mariner II kayak as I got a new one that fits me a bit better and can’t keep both.
This classic design is highly regarded for its seaworthiness, handling, and expedition capability. It also features the original Mariner sliding seat, allowing you to adjust the kayak’s trim while on the water. In 2017, the kayak received approximately $2,100 CAD in professional upgrades by John Abercrombie, including:
* Added front bulkhead
* Lowered rear deck for easier rolling
See previous listing describing work here: https://www.westcoastpaddler.com/community/threads/sold-mariner-ii-with-bow-and-stern-bulkheads-hatches.8409/
The kayak is in good overall used condition with the expected cosmetic wear for its age. It has been well cared for and is ready to paddle, though it would benefit from a new gel coat if you’re looking to refresh its appearance. Mariner II kayaks are increasingly hard to find, especially with the original sliding seat and professionally completed upgrades like these.
