Happy paddling season everyone.
Alert Bay on Cormorant Island (a 45 minutes ferry from port McNeill) is hosting every year a recreational race – “Alert Bay 360”. While last year the race canceled, it is back this summer- Always on Sunday-BC long weekend (August 2) .
The Island has one of the biggest first nations’ culture center, some hikes and local artists to explore.
This is a 10 km race around Cormorant Island – all crafts are welcome. There were about 130 paddlers 2 years ago and the last kayaker made it in 2:30 hours. No worries, you can always break this record as well 🙂
