    VICTORIA, BRITISH COLUMBIA

Join Pacific Wild for an inspiring evening diving into Canada’s developing Marine Protected Areas (MPA) Network in the Great Bear Sea.

The event will feature Susan Conrad – expedition kayaker, adventurer, and recent Fellow of The Explorers Club. Susan will share a dynamic presentation on her 2022 solo paddle through the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest  from the San Juan Islands to Sitka, Alaska.
Before Susan’s presentation, Sydney Dixon, Marine Specialist with Pacific Wild, will lead a discussion on the progress and importance of MPA Networks in B.C. to highlight their integral role in biodiversity protection.

“You only conserve what you love, and you’ll only love what you understand. By raising awareness with my paddle, I hope people will be inspired and motivated, understand Marine Protected Areas better, and want to advocate for marine protection in this incredible region.”

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn, connect, and be inspired by the stories of the coast.
