Virtual Club Meeting

When: March 1, 2021 from 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

Guest Speaker Ross Dixon. Raincoast Conservation is a team of scientists and conservationists dedicated to safeguarding the land, waters and wildlife of coastal British Columbia. Join us on Monday March 1st to learn about the research and efforts conducted by Raincoast to protect Southern Resident killer whales and also their work studying salmon stocks and habitat in the Fraser River estuary.

Raincoast’s Mandate is Investigate, Inform. Inspire

· Investigate to understand coastal species and processes

· Inform by bringing science to decision makers and communities

· Inspire action to protect wildlife and wildlife habitat

Ecosystems – provincially, nationally and globally – are unravelling as a result of habitat loss, over-exploitation and industrialization. If these complex life-giving systems are to survive the damage from our human footprint, we must endeavour to advance ecological resilience by protecting what is left and restoring what has been compromised.
