When: November 14, 2020 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
Location: Vanier Park Launch
In this 2-hour clinic we will look at getting the most performance out of your turning strokes and techniques. Includes sweep strokes (forward and reverse), pivot turns, bow rudder and stern rudders. Edging will be discussed and practiced as an integral part of turning performance. We will also breakdown techniques found in the phrase: body, boat, blade. What does each do that might contribute to your personal performance.
Course Format:
This is a 2-hour session, participants should be ready to be on the water by 9:00 am.
Prerequisites:
The only prerequisites to attend this clinic, are to wear paddling clothing that is suitable for immersion (eg. wet or dry suit) and be comfortable performing wet exits. Participants must have all required safety equipment and kayaks must have water tight hatches and proper floatation or bulkheads.
Fee: $25 (the clinic will run providing we have at least 3 participants).
