When: June 16, 2018 until June 17, 2018 from 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Location: Sasamat Lake (White Pine Beach)
In this course you will learn and practice:
- Techniques for efficient forward paddling
- Reverse paddling
- A variety of bracing techniques
- A variety of steering and maneuvering strokes
- A variety of towing methods
- A variety of self-rescue and assisted rescue techniques
Course Format:
Two-day weekend course (be ready to be on the water by 9:00 AM)
Prerequisites:
This course includes an on-water component. You must wear paddling clothing that is suitable for immersion (eg. wet or dry suit) and be comfortable performing wet exits. You must have all required safety equipment and your kayak must have water tight hatches and proper floatation or bulkheads.
Fee: $50
