Our October meeting features guest speaker Beau Miles, who some may remember from two of his films featured at SKABC Paddling Film Festivals.
Beau is a Youtuber, dad, ex-academic, author of The Backyard Adventurer and has a PhD in expeditionary learning. He is bad at cooking omelettes, and this is not a metaphor. www.beaumiles.com
Beau’s presentation will be less about a particular topic, and more about an occasional- and often defining, life on water. From oceans and seas to rivers and lakes, the conversation will be about key paddling moments in life, the personal meaning that he derives from this, and his search for insights into humanity. And, where fun and adventure resides. 
Beau encourages people to come armed with as many questions as possible so as to make the time a conversation and not a lecture.

Beau has a unique and wonderful ability to find and reveal the magical in the mundane beauty around us. This presentation will be one not to miss.
