Clayoquot – Sound of Freedom

Dan Lewis and Bonny Glambeck will present on paddling in Clayoquot, the area’s ecology, some history of the 1993 protests, First Nations culture, and some of the current challenges facing the region such as mines, fish farms and oil tankers.

Safety topic: communicating on the water. When there are problems with verbal communication, paddle and whistle signals are needed.

Doors open at 7pm, meeting starts at 7:30pm.
