Big Brothers and Big Sisters Annual Kayak and Pizza Event

When: July 9, 2016 from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Don’t miss this opportunity to paddle with the kids. Boys and girls from both organizations are excited that we are offering this event again this year. Skabc will pay for the pizza and the rental of 4 double kayaks for the day, but we can’t do this without your help. Big Brothers and Big Sisters will help coordinate the arrival of the groups and keep an eye on things in the park while we are out paddling.

Groups will go out at 9.00am, 12.00noon and 3.00pm, and return within 2 hours. The focus is on safety, so we have one volunteer accompany each double. You will need your own boat with all CG safety equipment, and a generous heart. I am pleased to see the sea stars are coming back, and if the tide is right we may see some.
