The Vancouver Park Board is looking for your feedback about On Water: Vancouver's Non-motorized Watercraft Strategy. "Help us imagine the future of canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, and more for Vancouver's waterways!" There is an online survey and two more open houses between now and March 16.
SKABC members: On the club's General Discussion Forum, you can organize with other members on attending open houses. (Several SKABC Members attended February 27) We can also discuss proposals to put forward to the Parks Board as a club. We have the opportunity to give feedback until March 16, so there is momentum for coming up with a proposal now.
Details about upcoming Vancouver Park Board open houses: The first hour is a drop-in open house. After that, there is an informal presentation by VPB staff and a workshop. Stay for as much or as little as you can. (If you plan to attend the workshop portion, RSVP at onwater@vancouver.ca)
Attend an Open House on these dates:
-Monday, March 5 from 5:00 pm – 8:30 pm at City Lab, 511 West Broadway Street
-Saturday, March 10 from 10:30 am – 2:00 pm at Jericho Sailing Centre, 1300 Discovery Street
Stay tuned for updates on the club's participation in this process and help with planning on the forum.
