Looking for a way to help out at a club meeting? When you arrive, put on an "Ask Me" badge. They'll be at the membership table by the nametags.

The idea is for new people to know who to go to to chat about the club.

There is a new feedback form on the club website. Find it at the bottom of the home page and contact page when you're logged in. Your comments will be read by the directors and shared with discretion to others as appropriate.

SKABC winter ball caps available

Update: these will be available for sale at the January meeting for $15 each.

The club got a great deal on some black winter-weight microfibre ball caps. They are adjustable with a metal buckle in back. Perfect for paddling or hiking on those cold, damp days ahead.

They are available for sale at upcoming club meetings for $15 each. Cash or cheque.

Congratulations Silver Paddle and Orca Award Winners

Congratulations Nick Heath, Orca Award Winner, and Graham Lorimer, Bob Salo, Steve Best and Chantal Ethier for winning Silver Paddle Awards.

For the first time since 2007 SKABC awarded an Orca Award. The club instituted the Orca Award as a way to recognize people who have made significant contributions to the kayaking community as a whole. Nominations for the award this year were sought from all club members before the Annual General Meeting.
