PIKA is organizing a currents course with Deep Cove Kayak at Skookumchuck Narrows and there are still some spots available.

I attended the course last year (with PCL2) and had a lot of fun… although I spent a bit of time in the water 😉 I am rolling now (yay!) and will be attending again (with PCL2.5).

The course is three days, the currents speed increasing each day, so you gradually gain confidence.

Here’s the info:

• Monday April 27 10:30am meet on Egmont Dock (allows you to take the morning ferry from Horseshoe Bay)
• Course finishes April 29th 6pm on the dock at Egmont.
• Course cost $750 plus GST plus accommodation and ferry. (Camping is $25 per person per night)

SKABC will be offering a Currents Course June 12 – 14 for half the price, and it includes accommodations.  It will be posted soon so stay tuned.
