I have neither of them, but I know both of them are good surfing sea kayaks. I think it depends on where you want to go surfing. If it’s ocean waves, beach breaks or reef breaks, Karla might be better. I heard that Sterling kayaks are designed for surfing skookumchuck. So if you want to surf skook or surge narrows, maybe Progression is better.

I have seen several people using Karla on Hobuck Hoedown sea kayak surfing competition. I wish I could try one Karla one day.
