For whale watching, the best spot is definitely Flower island, that’s the only spot where we saw whales – Orcas and Humpbacks. For the places to avoid, on my line, there are none, the key is to time slacks well in the narrow passages and expect nasty conditions on the west Pacific exposed part of the Archipelago on the hot afternoon days. It’s pretty much common sense.
