Both kayaks would have significant value.The Klepper is a timeless classic, likely having a value above $5K. Should be easy to sell, but this is not the best time of year.
These are both slower, older style boats, but for trips involving air transport, are still in demand because they break down into bagged units for re-assembly on the shore /river bank. I’ve seen hem used like this in the Arctic.
It is possible that Club Locarno might be interested.
For a charity, it is possible that BC Marine Trail could auction them for funds – they have a fund campaign on at this time – and possibly give the donor a tax receipt. Someone would need to store them in the meantime and I suppose I could volunteer to do that, although my place is already choc a bloc.
As a non-charity, SKABC could do likewise.
Maybe Gina could find out if that would work?
