Wilderness First Aid

When: March 17, 2018 until March 18, 2018 from 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM

We're fully booked for this event. NEW: scroll down to see if a waitlist spot is available. Note that we may be able to add space depending on interest.

This two-day (20 hours) Wilderness First Aid Course is designed to help you deal with an injured person for up to 24 hours.  Due to the nature of the problems you may be dealing with in the outdoors, at least 50% of the course will be taught outside.  This course has the Standard First Aid and CPR C with AED built into the course.  This means that upon successful completion of the course, you will have your Standard First Aid and CPR C certificates built into your Wilderness First Aid certificate.

In addition to the course content we will include basic shelter construction that is not part of the certificate.  We include this because of the nature of the environment that you will be working with and the relevance of the course content.  If you have any questions, please contact Chantal, the Course Coordinator.

Instruction by: Ridge Wilderness

Course Coordinator:  Chantal Ethier  604.787.7573

Limit: 8 participants

Fee: $220.00 if we fill the course.

If we don’t have sufficient participants the cost could increase to $225 or $250 per person. Should that be the case, each participant will be contacted to decide whether they want to go ahead with the increase cost or if they want a refund.  That being said, based on the interest expressed in the Training survey, it looks promising.

Course Location:  Trinity Western University, 7600 Glover Road, Langley

Please pack a lunch and snacks as there are no amenities close to the training facility.
