Trip to the Thormanby Islands   September 16th, catching the 9:25am ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Langdale (strongly recommend making a ferry reservation). Return September 18th catching the 2:45pm ferry from Langdale (strongly recommend making a ferry reservation).
Trip details: There is a fee for parking your cars at Buccaneer Marina and there is a kayak launching fee to use their boat ramp. Launch from Buccaneer Marina located in Secret Cove’s north east arm, paddle along the shoreline into Smugglers Cove Marine Park then cross Welcome Passage to South Thormanby Island and camp on sandy spit (limited camping sites). Next day we can paddle exploring North Thormanby Island. Crossing Welcome Passage requires some caution due to high pleasure boat traffic, afternoon winds and current can make waters rough. There will be room for 5 people to join  myself and Steve Barnes, with the total group size limited to 7.  A pre-trip paddle and planning meeting are required to attend.
