Rolling Practice Session – Sunday August 23

When: August 23, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM



This practice session offers members the opportunity to practice their rolling skills. You do not need a successful roll, but must be working towards it.  The session will be facilitated by SKABC members.

NOTE If  you were unable to attend the previous rescue sessions, and still need to do so, we can accommodate you in theis session. Please email Maureen to confirm.

Date: Sunday August 23 from 9 am to 12 noon.

Location:  Batchelor Bay, West Vancouver

Requirements:

  • Be already on your journey towards a successful roll
  • Kayak with spray deck and all safety equipment, wet/dry suit mandatory
  • Paddle float and any other aides you use
  • Goggles, nose plug are optional, and may help to increase your comfort
  • Bring lunch and water along in your boat

Special Instructions:  

  • Please arrive early so we are ready to launch at 9:00 am. Meet with kayaks on the grass.

Fees: Free (this is a practice session, not a course)

Limit: Minimum 4; maximum 8

Parking: Parking for 3 hours is free on Dufferin Road. There is unlimited time free paring on Marine Drive with stairs to the beach (unload your kayak before parking) Carpooling is recommended.
