Saturday, Sept 5, 2015 – Saturday, Sept 12, 2015 Quadra Island Area Trip – Class (2B) – Depart Vancouver at 8:30 Saturday morning, ferry to Nanaimo, drive to Cambell River (approx. 5 hours from Vancouver) – Ferry from Campbell River to Quadra Island (25 minutes) (about $35)
Visit Nuymbalees Cultural Centre – – Drive to Heriot Bay Inn and camp for the night beside their resort, which offers dining, pub, nice washrooms/showers, and a place to leave our cars. (3 or 4 tents per site, and $28 for the site) – Launch from Heriot Bay Inn on Sunday Sept 6, it’s a very easy place to launch from – short carry, no hills. We will be camping on the Penn Islets, or Rendevous, Read Island, and Octopus Islets, taking advantage of base camping as much as possible.
