There is no online registration for this course.

Who for.

This practice is open to everyone. The only prerequisite is that you must be comfortable with a wet exit and able to get back into your boat (with assistance).

– If you just want to practice rescues or if you would like to go on a trip one day, come along and find out what it is all about.

– If you would like to lead a trip, come along for some trip planning advice.

– If you already lead trips, please come along and share your wisdom

What to wear.

Dress for immersion. A wet or dry suit is mandatory, and can be rented if you don’t own one.

What to bring.

– Lunch.

– Your boat kitted out as for a day paddle with all necessary coast guard requirements.

– Towing set-up if you have one.

– Hand held compass.

– If you are planning a trip, bring the relevant chart.

What to expect

– To get wet and have fun.

The format will be open and interactive.

– In the morning we will practice rescues.

– Over lunch we will discuss trip scenarios.

– After lunch the group will decide what to do next.
