If you are tired of instant noodles or expensive and not so tasty freeze dried food then this trip is for you. Come and explore the many and varied possibilities of interesting and nutritious meals that can even produce a great dinner on Day 14 of a trip.
The KC trip is out of Porteau Cove on Howe Sound and includes camping on Gambier Island, a circumnavigation of Anvil Island and touches the Defense Islands, Potlatch Creek, Pam Rocks and Christie Islet. Total distance paddled will be 14 n.m. Strong outflow winds may be encountered. The trip is not suitable for novice paddlers. A small fee will be charged to cover the cost of ingredients provided for the Saturday evening meals. A comprehensive information sheet will be forwarded to all participants. Naturally any SKABC member may apply for this trip but priority will be given to members who have not previously participated in a KC weekend. There are nine places available on the trip. The sign-up deadline is 8 pm, Sunday, June 1.
