When: June 18, 2026
Join Brian (Archaeologist and paddler) to a rock art site on Howe Sound near Furry Creek. We can view the rock paintings from the water, and paddlers will learn some of the background and technical information about how these locations are created. This is followed up by a visit to a large inter-tidal fish trap near Porteau Cove at low tide at 2:41PM. Learn about the indigenous history of our area and also proper etiquette related to archaeology sites. Date of trip was chosen because of friendly low tide.
