When: October 17, 2026 from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Join Kapila and Limor for the annual paddle down the Harrison River. 2A. This leisurely autumn day paddle is usually very well attended and provides a good oppertunity for new members to meet other paddles. The day includes: seeing spawning salmon, bald eagles and First Nations pictographs; eating lunch at Morris Creek; a possible side trip up Weaver Creek and an après-paddle at the Sasquatch Inn Pub..
Required Paddling Skills / Gear: Easy paddling. Because of the time of year, wet or dry suit is required. All transport Canada equipment is required. Must have completed a successful assisted rescue in the past 12 months.
Car shuttling will be required between the put-in (Harrison Hot Springs) and the take-out (Kilby Provincial Park). Kayak rentals are not available at the put-in nor the take-out.
Pre-trip Meeting / Paddle: None.
Potential Hazards: The Harrison River is a Class I river: slow moving water. Can have areas of current and wind.
