Deep Cove to Maple Beach 2B

When: February 7, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM



Did you get new paddling gear for Christmas and can’t wait to try it out? Or maybe you’re new to winter paddling and want a gentle introduction? This trip is perfect for you. We’ll take our time exploring the stunning winter scenery of Indian Arm, with plenty of optional stops along the way to rest, adjust gear, or simply soak it all in.

Launch time:– We will launch at Deep Cove (near the paddling centre) at 10.00 am. Please give yourself time to park and be ready to launch on time.

We paln to be back by 3.00 pm

Over all distance : 8 NM

We will paddle south and cross to Humber Island while the high tide is high enough to cross under the bridge, paddling to Belcarra (outhouse break )

Hand rail to Admiralty Point with a lunch break at Maple Beach.

On the way back we will island hop: visiting Boulder Island and Grey Rocks heading back to Deep Cove.

* Required Paddling Skills / Gear: Intermediate level, wet or dry suit required. Ability to paddle 10NM under 2B conditions and to do assisted rescues.

* Bring- lunch, hot drink, extra warm dry gloves for the break and a toque

* Potential Hazards: Strong wind

*Weather may affect our direction and distance.

Parking : *Parking is free at this time of the year in front of the loading area.

*Recommended: wheels
