Monthly meetings take place from September to June on the first Monday of the month. The Sunrise Community Association Hall has been the location, however with Covid we have started holding meetings online via Zoom.
The meetings are free of charge and open to the public. If you have questions about the club, join us for a meeting and connect with one of our officers or senior members.
Our Monthly meetings typically features a presentation or activity on kayak-related topics. They are a way to learn and to connect with fellow members, share stories and experiences.
In July or August we meet for an informal paddle and BBQ.

Club meeting via Zoom: Clam gardens: Ala̱g̱a̱mił Nicole Norris, Halalt First Nation
For May we are excited to welcome Ala̱g̱a̱mił Nicole Norris, a Shellfish Aquaculture Specialist, Intergovernmental Communicator, Cultural Support Worker; knowledge holder and language preserver for the Hul’qumi’num. The public is welcome to join in. Nicole will speak on clam gardens, ancient intertidal features constructed by coastal First Nations of British Columbia and Native Americans of Washington State and Alaska, to enhance shellfish productivity and to feed the people.
