Special Fall Training Weekend – page for those who preregistered for the course

A group of SKABC instructors and leaders have signed up to participate in The Special Fall Training Weekend in Tofino on October 5-6, 2013

If this is you and you paid your deposit of $75, please pay the balance below for a total cost of $225 for the weekend.

Information about the course:

This is intended for very experienced* kayakers looking to hone their ability to a higher level of performance in dynamic environments. The idea is to tune/raise/challenge our kayaking knowledge. Instructor/Student ratio is 1:4, with S.K.I.L.S. Instructors Michael Pardy and Rowan Gload, and our own Mark Kelly.

* very experienced kayaker: Paddle Canada Level 3 or equivalent

or SKABC Level 3 – Exposed Difficult/Good Seamanship

SKABC members who are or have been Instructors or Trip Leaders for SKABC in the last two years, and have more advanced paddling skills are invited to a training session in Tofino the first weekend of October.

The course runs 9-5 on Saturday and 9-4 on Sunday. The coach to student ratio will be 1:4 so this is a fantastic opportunity! It is recommended that participants stay at the Whalers Hostel Friday and Saturday night, as a block of rooms has been set aside for us to book for $35/night.
