I’m wanting to have a crack (or two) repaired on my kevlar kayak. I know you can get a fiberglass kit and some people use it to fix kevlar.
    Has anyone done this themselves?

Or does anyone know somewhere that will repair kevlar?

Open to any and all thoughts.

you can do repairs with fiberglass, kevlar is more difficult, not impossible

the important part is to use the right resin.

you’d want to start by removing the damaged gel coat(sanding)

then you could see if the fiber layers are damaged.

It’s hard to know if it is just the gel coat. I’d say so but there is a good crack so there could be damage further in that I can’t see. However, it is not letting water in at all. Yet! I’d just like it fixed so it doesn’t get worse and catch on things when sliding across rollers/logs etc.

I’ve received another suggestion for Coast so will try them.

Is only the gel coat cracked?  That’s an easy fix; go to any boat repair store and you can buy small amounts of gel coat there.  Sand the existing edges of the damage, and then feather in the repair material.   If the kevlar is damaged, that’s a more complicated repair – cutting kevlar is tricky.  What kind of damage do you have?
