Cates Park to Twin Islands (2B)

When: October 3, 2026 from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM

Join us for the Fall Fling! Our group will launch at Cates Park and paddle to Twin Islands beach for lunch. After lunch we will paddle to the narrows to look at the pictoglyphs on the cliffs. The paddle is approximately 10 nautical miles round trip — about 2 hours each way.

Suitable for Intermediate Paddlers. Requirements: Ability to self-rescue, wetsuit or drysuit, spray skirt.

Launch: We will be launching from a pebble beach on the east side of the point. There is a short path to this beach. Meet at the parking lot near the Washrooms and Concession (Wally’s Burgers). Meet-up is 10:00 am for an 10:30 am launch.

Don’t forget to bring a sack lunch and water for the day and sunscreen. Always include a dry bag with warm clothes. We’ll meet up with the other groups afterwards at the pub for a social get together. — make sure to reserve your spot for dinner.

Trip Leaders:  Maureen Cureton (Mo)
Brian Pegg
