Join Ken & Maureen for a 9-night adventure to Hot Springs Cove! This is a week plus paddle in open west coast conditions.

The West coast around the Tofino area is a great destination for Intermediate / Advanced Paddlers.
Due to park reservation requirements and camp site availability a maximum of 4 participants will be allowed totaling six in the group.
Participants must have good paddling skills, allowing them to comfortably paddling 10-15 nm distance over possible wind, swell, surf landings and large conditions. A successful self and assisted rescue must have been completed in the past 12 months.
Pre-Trip Meeting / Paddle: Zoom / Howe Sound paddle. Date TBD
Potential Hazards: Hot Springs Cove is on the West Coast of Vancouver Island and can be subject to extreme weather. This is an exposed route.
Required Paddling Skills / Gear: All participants are required to wear either a wet suit or dry suit, . You will need a helmet for surfing and any rock
gardening. Have all Transport Canada required gear list.
Our Leadership Style: This trip falls in the SKABC “Trip” category and not the “Training” category. Meaning, this is not specific, targeted training or formal instruction, but trip leaders will pass on their knowledge and experience to the group.

Possible Campsite Locations:- Rassier Point, Medallion Beach, Whitesand Cove, Atleo River, Cow Bay, Whaleview Beach, Hot Springs Cove

Transportation:– Participants are required to drive to Tofino on their own. Carpooling arrangements can be made once the signup process is completed.
Cost:– Participants are responsible for all transportation costs getting to Tofino and return. Trip leaders will book campsites, park passes and will share the cost among the group.
Once the group is established, everyone will be required to pay a deposit allowing trip leaders to book campsites, park passes, parking, launching and camping fee etc.
