Description: Join Philip, Ken and Nick on Saturday, paddle 9 nm from Porteau Cove to Bain Creek recreation site. Camp at Bain Creek for 2 nights and work on site improvements. Return to Porteau Cove on Sunday afternoon. Participants may be asked to carry some tools on or in their kayak. Work includes moving rocks to improve boat run; trail construction, including stairs; cleaning & re-painting picnic table; and tent site improvements. Return to Porteau Cove on Sunday afternoon.

Trip Distance: 9 nm/day on May 16 & 18.
Launch Site: Porteau Cove Marine Park
Required clothing: Wetsuit or drysuit, work gloves, boots (preferably with steel toes), and safety glasses required.
What to bring: Water, food, camping equipment, and work clothing.
Participant responsibilities: Abide by “Your Responsibilities as a Participant” on the About our Trips page on the Trips menu. Successful rescue practice (self and assisted) completed within the past 12 months.”
Parking: Free parking at Porteau Cove Marine Park but must obtain free overnight parking pass from kiosk at entrance to campground and place pass on vehicle dashboard.
