Broom busting at James Bay 2A/B

When: May 29, 2026 until May 31, 2026

Trip Classification: 2A/B

Description: Join Cynthia and Nick for Broom busting at James Bay, Prevost Island to control  Scotch Broom. This Conservation trip is sanctioned by Parks Canada.  SKABC volunteers will work at clipping and piling invasive Scotch Broom which has taken over an area of the old orchard and is encroaching on the camping area along the cove edge.
The task is to cut (using loppers or handsaws) broom and pile it for later burning or composting. We’ll have some support from Parks Canada, who approve this conservation event. A camping fee waiver is under discussion.
