Maia Beauvais’ presentation is titled “Learning in Gwaii Haanas”
Maia will talk about her experience of getting to and paddling in Gwaii Haanas. She will cover trips she has been part of, her favourite places, and key pieces and reflections from her first three seasons guiding in Gwaii Haanas. She will introduce the SKGABC and the original connection to Gwaii Haanas, the story of Athlii Gwaii as well as her own experiences along Indigenous lead Land Defence.
