I’ve spent a lot of time in the water the last two months, and in between trips, I discovered this video which has made a huge difference in my technique:
I realized I was just doing torso rotation… as it turns out, my hips can actually move! (yup, I am a terrible dancer). Just this realization has made a big difference in my strokes.
I also realized that in my attempt to have the right bracing position I was definitely having my foot pegs way to close, giving me no room at all for any hip movement. This other video also talks about it:
This one is a little bit preachy towards Greenland paddle, but it makes very good points 😉
Anyway, I just wanted to share.
