Belcarra ivy-pull hike recap

Removal of invasive species has become a tradition for SKABC and part of our conservation program within Metro Vancouver Regional Parks’ area. Some years we paddle in, but this year we hiked and it worked out well.

Club members met at Belcarra Park on March 18 and hiked in to Admiralty Point. Metro Vancouver's Sam Cousins, a Natural Resource Management Technician, guided the work of removing invasive species (mostly English ivy).

The weather was perfect for the job and a leisurely lunch on the beach.
